Estonian Nature Tours Press Release
Birds and nature journalists again in Estonia!
Estonian Nature Tours in cooperation with the NGO Läänemaa Tourism invited Europe's leading bird and nature magazines journalists and representatives of travel agencies to Estonia on 18th September.
The six-day promotional tour included vistis to West-Estonia, Hiiumaa and Pärnu county.
Participating journalists were from Great Britain (Bird Watching), Netherlands (Grasduinen), Sweden (Sveriges Natur) and Finland (Suomen Luonto and Natur och Miljö), travel agencies and representatives from Britain and Belgium.
The aim of the tour is to introduce Estonia to the top publications as a
safe and friendly nature tourism destination, and show animal- and birdwatching areas, which are attractive for nature enthusiasts during autumn.
It is also important to dispel the prejudices about our guide service, food,
accommodation and the level of the road network. In addition to mass bird migration you can expect to see species such as Black Grouse, Woodpeckers and Owls. Large mammals such as moose, wild boars, gray seals and ringed seals are also present among others. Traces, trails and movement of large carnivores can also be tracked.
The promotional tour is organized by Estonian Nature Tours, it is is financed by NGO Läänemaa Tourism, and Estonian Nature Travel. The tour is guided and accompanied by Tarvo Valker, Marika Mann and Bert Rähni.
